Opera Puppets feature Nelson & Jeanette May 24-June 10, 2006

Opera in Focus is presenting May 24 to June 10 a puppet show segment featuring Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald. One segment will include TOSCA, act 3, Rosalie, and other music parts. This project is in Rolling Meadows, a suburb of Chicago. Call 847-818-3220, ext 186 for more information.
I have seen one of their shows a few years ago. It was produced by William Foster a master pupeteer who recently died but the shows are being continued by a new staff. It was very exciting and cleverly done. It is an elegant 65 seat theater. After the show they demonstrate how the puppets are handled. If you are ever in the area it would be a wonderful treat. Also nice to know their is still great interest in Nelson and J.
